After Installation
How does the maintenance, monitoring & support work?
We pride ourselves on taking our clients on a long term green energy journey and that is why our post installation customer experience means everything to us. Our world class support centre has dedicated co-ordinators that monitor your systems performance 24/7. As soon as they pick up on any system performance issues remotely through the app, they will send a support team out to repair the problem on site or over the phone. Your mpowrment contract includes 1 solar panel cleans per year along with AC electrical and DC string stress testing to ensure your system always runs at its optimum levels for many decades to come.
After I get powered?
Will I be able to purchase the system?
Yes, at an agreed upon price and date in your subscription agreement, thus allowing you to cancel the subscription if needed.
What happens if I sell my home?
The subscription agreement will move over to the new owner, whilst adding value to your homes resale price.
Can I upgrade my system?
Yes, you can add 2 panels at R250 pm or a battery for an additional R690 pm to extend your uninterrupted power during outages.
How long will my solar system last?
We only use tier 1 approved equipment from well known blue chip manufacturers. 25 year warranty on solar panels, 10 year warranties on inverter and batteries. Our mpowrment contract also includes monitoring and replacement of components at the end of their lifetime so your system will conitnue to function at optimium levels ongoing into the future.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Hopefully you will never need to go this route with uninterrupted power, but if you do, you simply send a cancelation request through to help@newplanet.co.za and pay a cancelation fee for the de-installation of your system.
Will I be able to feed power back into the grid?
Yes, once these regulations are promulgated and implemented.
Will I save money on my electricity bill?
Yes. A large amount over the years with current pressure on neglected grid infrastructure resulting in increased utility tariffs and power insecurity. The amount you save will all depend on your consumption and what your solar system produces but it will definitely be worth your while for many decades to come.
